Tremfya® (guselkumab) 100 mg/ml injection is a monoclonal antibody used for the treatment of moderate to severe plaque psoriasis in adults who are candidates for systemic therapy or phototherapy. It works by targeting and inhibiting interleukin-23 (IL-23), a cytokine that plays a key role in the inflammatory processes of psoriasis.

This medication is administered as an injection under the skin (subcutaneously). The recommended dosing schedule involves an initial dose, followed by a second dose at 4 weeks, and subsequent maintenance doses every 8 weeks. The prefilled syringe ensures precise and convenient administration for patients, eliminating the need for complex mixing or preparation.

Common side effects of Tremfya® may include upper respiratory infections, headache, and injection site reactions. Serious side effects, although rare, can include an increased risk of infections, including tuberculosis, and potential allergic reactions.
