The 12 mL Luer Lock syringes are intended for general use. The syringe contains no needles and is intended for single use only. It has clear 0.2 mL graduations. Reusing a needle or syringe increases the risk of transmittable diseases in patients therefore these are disposable single-use syringes.

The Luer-lock syringe provides a very tight fit as you rotate the needle clockwise. Sterile syringes can be securely threaded to needles or IV ports using an integrated Luer-Lok hub. The syringe has a positive plunger rod stop and a tapered plunger rod to aid in aspiration. The barrel is made of polypropylene plastic.

The Luer-lock syringe tip is used on combination units. The gauge and bar stripe on each package are color-coded. Plastic Luer-Lok syringes are nonpyrogenic and nontoxic, with large-scale markings but no needles. The needle in a Luer lock syringe can be twisted at the tip. The needle can be locked in place, ensuring a secure injection and preventing the contents from being accidentally inserted or removed. Syringes with Luer locks prevent their contents from leaking.
