Designed for collecting, transporting and maintaining the viability of aerobic, anaerobic and facultative microorganisms. Swab tips available in single, double or straight wire format. Applicators have color-coded caps with overskirt and biohazard plug-cap rings; extra-long swab shafts; and a labeled, round-bottom, spiral transport tube. Transport tubes contain 4mL of semi-solid media. Spiral media chamber within a seamless polypropylene tube protects sample and keeps it immersed in media during transport. Labels preprinted with lot number, expiration date and product code with space reserved for recording patient information.Gamma sterilized and wrapped in sterile, easy-to-peel envelope.
