Violet Coated Vicryl 2-0 CT-1 36" Suture is an absorbable suture designed for general soft tissue approximation and ligation. It is particularly useful in ophthalmic procedures, as well as for musculoskeletal, reproductive tract, and orthopedic surgeries. However, it is not recommended for cardiovascular or neurological tissues. 

The Violet Coated Vicryl Suture is crafted to offer exceptional handling characteristics. Its smooth surface allows for effortless tissue penetration, while the coating minimizes tissue friction, ensuring the suture moves easily through the wound. This characteristic significantly reduces the risk of tissue trauma during surgical procedures, leading to enhanced patient recovery.

The suture exhibits reliable tensile strength, with a 50% loss of strength occurring after approximately three weeks. It is fully absorbed by the body within 56 to 76 days, making it an ideal choice for surgeries where rapid absorption is crucial and the need for suture removal is eliminated.
