Description

The VICRYL™ Coated Braided Undyed Suture, Size 4-0, 18", PS-5 Needle, is a sterile, absorbable synthetic suture composed of a copolymer made from 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide. It is coated with a mixture of polyglactin 370 and calcium stearate to improve handling and knot security.

The PS-5 precision reverse cutting needle is designed for precise placement in delicate tissues such as skin. Its reverse cutting edge and small needle size allow for minimal trauma during passage, making it ideal for dermatologic and plastic surgical applications.

VICRYL™ 4-0 sutures are commonly used in subcuticular closures, oral surgery, gynecology, and skin approximations where short-term wound support and low tissue reactivity are essential. The suture is supplied sterile and intended for single use only.
