Description
The Taper Point Vicryl Rapide Absorbable Sutures are coated with Vicryl Rapide, which is a synthetic absorbable sterile surgical suture made from a copolymer composed of 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide. These braided sutures are undyed and have a length of 27 inches, with a size of 3-0.
These sutures are designed to mimic the performance of collagen (surgical gut) sutures, despite being synthetic and absorbable. They are specifically indicated for use in superficial soft tissue approximation of the skin and mucosa, where short-term wound support (7-10 days) is required.
It's important to note that these sutures are not intended for use in ligation, ophthalmic, cardiovascular, or neurological procedures. Each box contains 12 individually packaged sutures, providing a convenient and sterile solution for medical procedures requiring absorbable sutures.
Coated VICRYL RAPIDE (polyglactin 910) suture is a synthetic absorbable sterile surgical suture composed of a copolymer made from 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide. Although this suture is a synthetic absorbable suture, its performance characteristics are intended to model the performance of collagen (surgical gut) suture. Coated VICRYL RAPIDE synthetic absorbable suture is indicated only for use in superficial soft tissue approximation of the skin and mucosa, where only short term wound support (7-10 days) is required. Coated VICRYL RAPIDE suture is not intended for use in ligation, ophthalmic, cardiovascular or neurological procedures.
