Description

PDS™ II Absorbable Suture, Size 7-0, Violet, 1" x 30", with BV-1 double-armed needles, is a monofilament synthetic suture made from polydioxanone. It is designed for long-term wound support in procedures where extended tensile strength is required during healing. The violet color enhances visibility during placement without compromising biocompatibility.

Constructed as a smooth monofilament, PDS™ II facilitates easy tissue passage with minimal drag, reducing the risk of trauma and inflammation. Its low tissue reactivity ensures compatibility with sensitive tissues, enhancing healing with minimal scarring or adverse response.

The suture is armed with two BV-1 needles, each 9.3 mm in length and 3/8 circle in shape, with a taper point configuration. These needles are designed for smooth and precise entry into soft, delicate tissues, making the suture suitable for microsurgery, ophthalmic, and other fine-tissue surgical applications requiring high precision.
