The Violet Coated VICRYL™ 1 CT taper, 18" Suture is a synthetic absorbable surgical suture composed of a copolymer made from 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide. It is coated with a mixture of polyglactin 370 and calcium stearate to enhance handling and reduce tissue drag.

Designed for soft tissue approximation and ligation, this suture is suitable for a wide range of procedures. It is commonly used in general tissue closure, muscle approximation, ophthalmic surgeries, gynecological procedures, and as a secondary option in orthopedic applications.
