Monocryl Coated Suture, 3-0, PS-2, 12 x 12 cm, Royal Blue, is a synthetic absorbable monofilament suture composed of poliglecaprone 25. The royal blue coloration enhances visibility against tissue, facilitating precise placement during surgical procedures. The coating on the suture promotes smooth passage through tissue, reducing friction and minimizing trauma during suturing.

The suture is equipped with a PS-2 precision reverse cutting needle, designed with a 3/8 circle curvature to optimize needle penetration and tissue handling. This needle type allows for efficient suturing in a variety of surgical fields, providing accurate control and minimal tissue damage. 

Monocryl maintains tensile strength for 1 to 2 weeks, providing necessary wound support during the initial phases of healing. Hydrolytic absorption occurs over 90 to 120 days, allowing gradual suture degradation without the need for removal. This absorption profile reduces patient discomfort and facilitates healing by minimizing foreign body presence in tissue.
