The BIOPATCH® CHG Disc Dressing is a specialized antimicrobial dressing designed to provide a protective barrier at the insertion site of vascular and non-vascular percutaneous medical devices. Constructed as a hydrophilic wound dressing, it effectively absorbs exudate while maintaining a clean and controlled environment around the catheter entry point. The disc shape, with a 0.75-inch diameter and a 1.5 mm center hole, allows it to fit securely around the device to ensure optimal coverage.

The core component of this dressing is chlorhexidine gluconate (CHG), an antimicrobial agent known for broad-spectrum activity against bacteria and fungi. By delivering continuous antimicrobial protection at the insertion site, the disc helps to reduce the risk of skin colonization and the development of catheter-related infections.
