ICU Medical Inc. 0.9% sodium chloride irrigation solution is available in an Aqualite PlasticPour bottle. It is sterile, distilled, nonpyrogenic water used for sterile irrigation, washing, rinsing, and dilution purposes.

ICU Medical Inc. sodium chloride solution is used to sterilize body cavity, tissues or wounds, surgical drain tubes, and indwelling urethral catheters. It is also a preferred option for washing, rinsing, or soaking surgical instruments, surgical dressings, and laboratory specimens. It can also be used to dilute or carry drugs used in irrigation or pharmacy preparations. 0.9% Sodium Chloride Irrigation USP and 0.9% Sodium Chloride injection USP (normal saline) provide identical isotonic saline irrigation. The solution is considered compatible with living tissues and organs.

About the packaging - The 0.9% Sodium Chloride Irrigation Solution is packaged in a flexible plastic container and is fabricated from a specially formulated polyvinylchloride. The semi-rigid container is fabricated from a specially formulated polyolefin and does not need a vapor barrier to maintain the proper concentration. Every case contains 12 bottles. The bottles should not be heated, and the temperatures of their storage should not exceed 25 degrees Celsius.

• Do not use for injection. This is only for irrigation, washing, rinsing, and dilution purposes.
• This is a single-use container. Discard the rest of the solution if unused after opening.
• Store at 20-25 degrees Celsius.
• ICU Medical Inc, sodium chloride irrigation solution contains no bacteriostat, antimicrobial agent, or added buffer.
• An electrolyte solution should not be used for irrigation during electrosurgical procedures.
