Description
Atropine Sulfate PFS 0.1 mg/mL (10 mL) is a parenteral solution used primarily as an anticholinergic and muscarinic antagonist. Atropine works by inhibiting acetylcholine at muscarinic receptors, leading to various physiological effects such as increased heart rate, reduced salivation, and smooth muscle relaxation.
This product is presented in a LifeShield™ Abboject™ glass syringe, which features an extended needle shroud for enhanced safety during administration, as well as a luer adapter for compatibility with standard injection equipment. The syringe includes a 20 gauge x 1-1/2 inch needle, suitable for intramuscular, subcutaneous, or intravenous administration.
Atropine Sulfate Injection is stored at a controlled room temperature between 20°C and 25°C (68°F to 77°F), away from light and moisture. Common side effects of atropine sulfate may include dry mouth, blurred vision, tachycardia, and urinary retention. Serious side effects are rare but may include arrhythmias, increased intraocular pressure, or an allergic reaction.
