Venofer SF 20 mg/mL is an iron sucrose injection used for the treatment of iron deficiency anemia in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). It is administered intravenously to replenish iron stores and support erythropoiesis. It is indicated for adult and pediatric patients aged two years and older who require parenteral iron supplementation due to inadequate oral iron absorption or intolerance.

The recommended dosage varies based on the severity of iron deficiency and the patient’s treatment regimen. Venofer SF is administered as an intravenous slow injection or infusion, typically in multiple doses. Common side effects include hypotension, nausea, dizziness, and local injection site reactions.
