The Undyed Coated Vicryl 3-0 CTX 36" Suture is a synthetic, absorbable surgical suture composed of polyglactin 910, designed to provide temporary wound support during the healing process. The suture exhibits a braided construction, contributing to its excellent handling properties and secure knot-tying capabilities. 

Engineered for use in general soft tissue approximation and ligation, the suture is suitable for a wide range of surgical applications, including ophthalmic, gynecological, and orthopedic procedures. It is not intended for use in cardiovascular or neurological tissues due to its absorbable nature. 

The suture maintains approximately 50% of its original tensile strength at three weeks post-implantation. This strength retention period allows adequate time for tissue healing while reducing the risk of long-term foreign body presence. The absorption profile is designed to balance durability with resorption efficiency.
