Description

Dupixent® (dupilumab) 300 mg/2 mL injection is a monoclonal antibody used for the treatment of moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis, asthma, and chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyposis in patients who require systemic therapy. It functions as an interleukin-4 (IL-4) and interleukin-13 (IL-13) receptor antagonist, targeting key inflammatory pathways involved in these conditions.

The medication is supplied as a prefilled injection pen containing 2 mL of solution, with each package including two pens for patient convenience. It is administered subcutaneously, typically every two weeks, based on the prescribing physician’s recommendations. Dupixent® is designed for use in patients aged six years and older for atopic dermatitis and asthma, and in adults for chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyposis.

Common side effects include injection site reactions, conjunctivitis, dry eye, and eosinophilia. Serious risks include hypersensitivity reactions and increased risk of helminth infections.
