The V-Loc™ 90 Absorbable Wound Closure Device is a synthetic absorbable barbed suture designed for secure and efficient wound closure. It is composed of Glycomer 631, a synthetic polyester consisting of glycolide (60%), dioxanone (14%), and trimethylene carbonate (26%). This composition ensures controlled absorption and tensile strength retention, making it suitable for dermal and soft tissue approximation.

The unidirectional barbs along the suture provide multiple points of tissue engagement, evenly distributing tension across the wound. This design eliminates the need for knot tying, reducing knot-related complications and enhancing procedural efficiency. The welded loop at the end of the suture allows for immediate securement, preventing slippage and maintaining consistent wound closure tension.

The needle is securely positioned in an optimized circular shape, ensuring precision during placement. The P-12 needle, designed for delicate tissue handling, provides smooth penetration and minimizes trauma to surrounding tissue. The undyed size 4-0 suture is ideal for fine wound closure applications where minimal visibility of the material is desired.
