Description

The undyed ETHICON® Coated VICRYL® braided absorbable suture provides reliable performance for general soft tissue approximation and ligation. Its coated polyglactin 910 material enhances handling and minimizes tissue drag during placement. Designed for consistent knot security on the first throw, the suture facilitates efficient and precise closure.

This suture features a PS-1 reverse cutting needle in a 3/8 circle configuration, measuring 24 mm in length. Constructed of stainless steel, the needle allows smooth tissue penetration with minimal trauma. The 36-strand braided design ensures tensile strength and uniform performance, while the undyed color provides a neutral appearance suitable for various procedures.

Tensile strength is maintained at 50% of original value after three weeks, supporting tissue during critical healing periods. Complete absorption occurs within 56 to 76 days, eliminating the need for suture removal in internal applications. The suture is suitable for general tissue, muscle approximation, ligatures, reproductive tract procedures, ophthalmic surgery, and select orthopedic applications, excluding cardiovascular and neurological tissues.
