Description

Tezspire (210 mg/1.91 mL) is a human monoclonal antibody classified as an interleukin-4 receptor alpha antagonist. It is indicated as an add-on maintenance treatment for adult and pediatric patients aged 12 years and older with severe asthma. By targeting thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP), it inhibits downstream inflammatory responses associated with airway hyperresponsiveness, eosinophilic inflammation, and corticosteroid resistance. 

The injection is supplied as a sterile, preservative-free, prefilled syringe containing 210 mg of tezepelumab in 1.91 mL of solution. It is a clear to opalescent, colorless to light yellow liquid intended for subcutaneous administration. The syringe is designed for single use and should be visually inspected for particulate matter and discoloration before administration. 

Tezspire is administered as a 210 mg subcutaneous injection once every four weeks. It can be injected into the upper arm, thigh, or abdomen, avoiding sensitive areas such as scars or bruised skin. The injection should be performed by a healthcare provider or a trained patient following appropriate administration guidelines.
