Description

Taper Point PDS™ II Absorbable Suture, 1/2 Circle, TP-1 Needle, Size 1, Violet, 1" x 54", is a synthetic monofilament suture composed of polydioxanone. This material provides extended wound support, making it suitable for soft tissue approximation and ligation in areas where long-term tensile strength is required.

Its monofilament structure contributes to smooth tissue passage, reducing drag and minimizing tissue trauma. The suture’s surface inhibits capillarity, lowering the risk of bacterial migration. The inert polymer composition promotes minimal tissue reaction, enhancing biocompatibility and healing outcomes.

Equipped with a TP-1 taper point needle, 65 mm in length and shaped in a 1/2 circle, the suture is engineered for soft, easily penetrable tissues. It is particularly suitable for use in general soft tissue approximation, including in orthopedic, gynecologic, and gastrointestinal procedures requiring prolonged wound support.
