POLYSORB™ Suture, 6/0, 18", Undyed, P-10 is a sterile, synthetic, absorbable surgical suture composed of a copolymer of glycolide and lactide. It is designed as a tightly braided multifilament structure to ensure excellent pliability, tensile strength, and consistent knot tying. The suture is coated with a bioabsorbable material to reduce tissue drag and provide smooth passage during approximation or ligation of soft tissues.

This suture offers initial wound support for up to three weeks, making it appropriate for surgical procedures involving tissues that heal rapidly. It undergoes hydrolytic degradation, with full mass absorption occurring between 50 to 90 days post-implantation. The suture maintains predictable strength retention during the early critical healing period, followed by gradual absorption and elimination from the tissue site.

Indicated for general soft tissue approximation or ligation, this suture is commonly used in dermatologic closures, plastic surgery, ophthalmic procedures, and subcuticular skin closures where fine suture control and reduced trauma are essential.
