PDS Plus Monofilament Suture, P3, Clear, Size 4-0, 18" is a synthetic absorbable surgical suture designed for extended wound support. It is composed of polydioxanone and features an antibacterial coating that actively kills bacteria and inhibits bacterial colonization at the wound site. The monofilament structure reduces tissue drag, minimizing trauma and inflammation during placement.

The suture maintains 60% tensile strength at two weeks, 40% at four weeks, and 35% at six weeks, providing prolonged wound support compared to other absorbable sutures. The gradual loss of tensile strength allows for proper healing without premature degradation.
