PDS™ II Clear Monofilament Suture, Size 3/0, 18", PS-1 Needle is a synthetic absorbable suture composed of polydioxanone, designed to offer extended wound support while undergoing slow, controlled absorption. It is supplied as a monofilament strand that minimizes tissue drag and reduces inflammatory response, supporting precise and clean surgical closure.

The suture retains 80% of its original tensile strength at 2 weeks, 70% at 4 weeks, and 60% at 6 weeks after implantation. Complete absorption is achieved within 183 to 238 days through hydrolytic degradation. This predictable absorption profile makes the suture suitable for tissues requiring prolonged support throughout the healing process.

The attached PS-1 reverse cutting needle has a 3/8 circle curvature and is specifically engineered for skin and subcuticular closures. Combined with the 3/0 suture size and 18-inch length, this configuration is ideal for plastic surgery, dermatologic procedures, and general soft tissue approximation with minimal tissue reaction.
