PDS® Plus Antibacterial (polydioxanone) Suture, 4-0 PDS PLUS Violet 1x27" RB-1 is a synthetic absorbable monofilament suture designed for wound closure and soft tissue approximation. The material is composed of polydioxanone with triclosan and provides prolonged mechanical support during the wound healing process. The violet coloration supports visual identification during surgical placement.

The suture is supplied in USP size 4-0 with a length of 27 inches. Its unidirectional configuration contains one strand per pack, providing a single continuous suture unit for surgical use. The absorbable material is designed to maintain wound approximation during tissue healing before gradually losing tensile strength and undergoing absorption.

The attached RB-1 needle measures 17 mm in length and features a silver finish with taper point geometry. The taper point facilitates controlled penetration through soft tissue while supporting precise suture placement. The combination of the RB-1 needle and 27-inch monofilament suture provides a suitable configuration for surgical procedures requiring prolonged absorbable wound support.
