MONOCRYL™ Monofilament Suture, Violet, Size 0, 8 strands of 18" each, is an absorbable surgical suture designed for soft tissue approximation where absorbability and minimal tissue reaction are required. It is composed of poliglecaprone 25, a copolymer of glycolide and e-caprolactone, and features a smooth monofilament structure for optimal handling and reduced tissue drag.

The suture offers unidirectional control and excellent pliability, providing consistent knot security and precision in wound closure. The violet pigmentation ensures high visibility during placement. This configuration includes eight individual strands per pack, each 18 inches in length, allowing for multiple uses per sterile unit.

The MO-4 needle attached is a 36 mm taper point needle designed for smooth penetration of soft tissue without cutting. This suture is commonly used in general surgery, subcuticular closures, and gynecologic and urologic procedures. The strand count and packaging format support efficient use in multi-layer closures or procedures requiring repeated suture applications.
