MONOCRYL™ Monofilament Suture is a synthetic absorbable surgical suture composed of poliglecaprone 25, a copolymer of glycolide and e-caprolactone. It is designed for use in soft tissue approximation and ligation where absorbable suture support is desired. The monofilament configuration allows for smooth passage through tissue with minimal drag and reduces the risk of fraying or infection harboring.

This suture is undyed and equipped with a CT taper point needle, suitable for soft tissue engagement without cutting, minimizing trauma to surrounding structures. It provides superior pliability and consistent handling characteristics, offering secure knot tying and ease of manipulation even in deep or confined spaces.

Common applications include bladder surgery, gastrointestinal procedures, reproductive tract repairs, subcuticular closures, and fascia or linea alba closure in young, healthy, fast-healing patients.
