ETHILON™ Monofilament Suture, Black, 12", Size 9/0, TG160-6 Needle, Double-Armed is a nonabsorbable surgical suture composed of long-chain aliphatic nylon polymers. It is designed to provide consistent tensile strength and minimal tissue reactivity, making it suitable for delicate surgical procedures that require precision and biocompatibility. The monofilament structure ensures smooth tissue passage with reduced drag and lower risk of trauma.

The suture is dyed black to enhance visibility during surgery, particularly useful in fine and complex tissue environments. Its double-armed configuration, paired with TG160-6 spatula needles, supports accurate placement and symmetrical suturing in microsurgical and ophthalmic applications.

ETHILON™ suture produces a minimal acute inflammatory response, which contributes to a lower risk of post-operative complications and promotes favorable healing. The nylon material remains stable in tissue over extended periods, gradually undergoing encapsulation and partial degradation over one to two years, although it is classified as nonabsorbable.
