Coated Vicryl Plus Antibacterial Suture, undyed and braided, offers advanced antimicrobial protection for surgical wound closure. This technology creates a zone of inhibition effective against common surgical site pathogens, including Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus epidermidis (MRSE). 

The suture is equipped with a Ct-1 taper point needle, designed for smooth and precise tissue penetration, minimizing trauma during soft tissue approximation. The needle’s half-circle curvature facilitates easy handling in confined surgical fields, providing optimal control for surgeons. The size 0 suture offers an appropriate balance of tensile strength and flexibility for a variety of surgical applications, including general soft tissue repair, ligation, and reconstructive procedures.

Absorption of the suture material occurs gradually over approximately 56 to 70 days, with 50% of tensile strength lost after three weeks, allowing adequate wound support during critical healing phases.
