Coated Vicryl Absorbable Suture, Undyed Braided, S-14 Needle, Size 6/0, 18" is a synthetic, absorbable surgical suture composed of a copolymer made from 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide. It is coated to enhance handling characteristics and knot security. The suture is undyed and braided, providing minimal tissue reaction and predictable absorption. 

This suture is commonly employed in general surgical procedures including tissue or muscle approximation, ligatures, and reproductive tract surgeries. It is frequently used in ophthalmic surgeries due to its fine size and reliable handling. Though suitable for orthopedic use, it is considered a second-choice option.
