Violet Coated VICRYL™ Suture, size 4-0, 27", with an SH needle, is a synthetic absorbable braided suture made from a copolymer of 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide. The violet coloration improves visibility during surgical procedures, while the coating of polyglactin 370 and calcium stearate enhances handling characteristics and reduces tissue drag.

This suture configuration includes an SH needle, a 1/2 circle taper point design made of stainless steel, suitable for use in soft tissue. It is commonly selected for procedures requiring precise and controlled tissue approximation, such as reproductive, ophthalmic, and certain orthopedic surgeries.
