Description

Undyed Coated VICRYL™ Suture, Size 2, with TP-1 taper point needle, is a synthetic absorbable suture composed of a copolymer made from 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide. The suture is coated with a combination of polyglactin 370 and calcium stearate to improve handling, knot security, and ease of passage through tissue. The undyed variant is particularly suited for internal tissue applications where visibility is not essential.

This suture features a TP-1 taper point needle, measuring 54 inches in length, offering smooth penetration with minimal trauma in soft tissues. The braided multifilament structure of the VICRYL™ suture enhances tensile strength and flexibility, providing secure approximation of tissues during the critical early phases of wound healing.
