VICRYL™ Suture, 3/0, Violet, Tie, 135 cm, is a synthetic absorbable sterile surgical suture composed of polyglactin 910, a copolymer of 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide. This formulation ensures high initial tensile strength and predictable absorption, making it ideal for soft tissue ligation in a wide range of surgical procedures.

The suture is braided to enhance pliability and handling characteristics, allowing smooth and controlled ligature placement. It is coated with a mixture of polyglactin 370 and calcium stearate, which reduces friction during application and improves knot tie-down security. The violet coloration provides enhanced visibility in the surgical field, especially in deep or blood-filled cavities.

This suture configuration, supplied without a needle, is intended for use as a tie in general, gynecologic, gastrointestinal, and urologic surgeries.
