Suture, PDO 5-0 Violet 1x27 RB-1 is a synthetic absorbable monofilament suture designed for general soft tissue approximation and ligation. The suture is manufactured from polydioxanone (PDO), providing prolonged tensile support during the wound healing process. Its monofilament construction offers a smooth surface and controlled tissue passage during surgical closure.

The suture is supplied in USP size 5-0 with a 27-inch length and violet coloration. The dyed violet configuration provides visual identification during surgical procedures. Its absorbable composition allows the material to gradually lose tensile strength and undergo absorption after providing temporary wound support. The suture is intended for procedures requiring extended support compared with rapidly absorbing materials.

The product is indicated for general soft tissue approximation and ligation where an absorbable monofilament suture is appropriate. It is not indicated for cardiovascular or neurological tissues, microsurgery, or ophthalmic surgery.
