The Suture, ETHILON™ Monofilament, Black, Size 6-0, 18", PC-1 Needle is a sterile, nonabsorbable surgical suture composed of long-chain aliphatic polyamide (nylon). It features a smooth monofilament structure that allows for minimal tissue drag and efficient wound closure. ETHILON™ sutures are known for their consistent handling characteristics and tensile strength over extended periods.

This suture is dyed black for enhanced visibility in tissue during surgery, which aids in precision and control. It induces minimal acute inflammatory reaction and is eventually encapsulated by fibrous connective tissue. Although it is nonabsorbable, it exhibits extremely slow degradation, typically taking one to two years, which makes it suitable for long-term tissue support.

The attached PC-1 needle is a 3/8 circle conventional cutting needle, designed to offer clean penetration and minimal trauma, especially effective for skin and subcutaneous closures. Its geometry ensures strength and accurate placement through tough or dense tissue layers.
