Description

Suture, Ctd VICRYL™ Plus Antibac Und Br 4/0, is a sterile, synthetic, absorbable surgical suture composed of Polyglactin 910, a copolymer of glycolide and lactide. The suture is braided and coated with a mixture of polyglactin 370 and calcium stearate to enhance handling, knot security, and reduce tissue drag. It contains triclosan, an antibacterial agent integrated into the coating.

This suture is intended for soft tissue approximation and ligation in general surgical procedures, excluding cardiovascular and neurological tissues. The 4-0 size is suitable for delicate tissue closure such as subcuticular skin closure and mucosal repair. The undyed formulation is preferred in situations requiring minimal visibility in tissue.

The PS-2 needle is a 3/8 circle reverse cutting needle, designed for precision in penetrating tough or keratinized tissue such as skin. The reverse cutting edge provides strength and reduced risk of tissue tearing. The suture length of 18 inches allows flexibility for short incisions and multi-layer closures.
