The Undyed Coated VICRYL™ Suture, 5-0, P-1 Needle, 18" Length, is a synthetic absorbable suture composed of braided polyglactin 910. It is coated with a mixture of polyglactin 370 and calcium stearate, designed to improve suture handling and ensure smooth passage through tissue. The undyed finish makes it suitable for procedures requiring minimal pigmentation, such as ophthalmic or superficial cosmetic closures.

This suture is intended for use in general soft tissue approximation and ligation, excluding cardiovascular and neurological tissues. It is commonly applied in ophthalmic surgeries, general tissue or muscle repair, subcuticular closure, reproductive procedures, and as a secondary option in orthopedic applications. The suture offers dependable knot security and allows ease of handling during placement.
