Coated Vicryl Plus Antibacterial Suture is a sterile, absorbable suture designed for soft tissue approximation and ligation. It is composed of polyglactin 910, a synthetic copolymer, and coated with triclosan, an antibacterial agent that inhibits bacterial colonization. The antibacterial coating has been demonstrated in vitro to create a zone of inhibition against Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, MRSA, and MRSE.

This suture is equipped with a CT taper point needle, which allows for smooth penetration through soft tissues with minimal trauma. The braided structure enhances flexibility and handling characteristics while ensuring secure knot placement. The 36-inch suture length provides versatility for a wide range of surgical applications, including general, gynecological, and plastic surgeries.
