Coated VICRYL™ Absorbable Suture, Violet Braided, MO-6 Needle, Size 2/0, 8 × 18" is an absorbable, synthetic surgical suture composed of Polyglactin 910, a copolymer of glycolide and lactide. The suture is coated with polyglactin 370 and calcium stearate to enhance handling properties and minimize tissue drag.

This suture is intended for general soft tissue ligation and approximation, excluding use in cardiovascular and neurological procedures. The 2/0 size offers appropriate tensile strength for fascia, muscle closure, and soft tissue repair in general, gynecologic, and urologic surgeries. Its violet color improves intraoperative visibility, assisting with precision during placement.

The MO-6 needle is a 3/8 circle taper point needle, 26 mm in length, designed for smooth penetration through soft tissue without cutting. This configuration is suitable for delicate internal tissues, allowing controlled, atraumatic suturing. Each unit includes eight strands, each 18 inches in length, offering flexibility for multiple or multi-layer closures.
