Description

The STRATAFIX™ Symmetric PDS™ Plus Suture is a sterile, absorbable barbed suture designed to provide secure soft tissue approximation without the need for traditional knot tying in many surgical applications. This configuration features a violet Size 1 suture measuring 24 inches in length and is supplied with a 48 mm CTX needle for precise tissue penetration and controlled placement. 

Manufactured from absorbable polydioxanone material, the suture delivers prolonged wound support while gradually being absorbed by the body as healing progresses. The symmetric barbed configuration enhances tissue engagement and helps maintain approximation during closure. The attached CTX needle is engineered to facilitate smooth passage through tissue, promoting accurate placement in a variety of soft tissue closure procedures.

The suture is supplied sterile and is intended for single-use only. Once the package has been opened, any unused suture material or needles should be discarded and must not be resterilized. Like other absorbable sutures, the material may produce a transient foreign-body response during the normal healing process. The product is manufactured without natural rubber latex, supporting use in latex-sensitive clinical environments.
