Description

The STRATAFIX™ Symmetric PDS+ Absorbable Suture is a sterile, absorbable barbed suture designed for soft tissue approximation and secure wound closure in various surgical procedures. This product features a Size 0 suture with a CT-1 taper needle and a 12-inch length, supplied in a box of 12 individually packaged units. The advanced barbed design provides tissue fixation and supports consistent wound edge alignment without requiring traditional knot tying.

Manufactured from absorbable polydioxanone material, the suture provides prolonged wound support during the healing process before gradual absorption occurs. The CT-1 taper needle is designed for smooth tissue penetration and controlled placement, making it suitable for procedures involving soft tissues that require dependable closure performance. The symmetric configuration helps distribute tension evenly along the closure line.

The product is supplied sterile with attached needles and is intended for single-use applications. Unused sutures and needles should be discarded after opening, and the product must not be resterilized. As with other absorbable suture materials, STRATAFIX™ Symmetric PDS+ Suture may produce a transient foreign-body response during the normal absorption process.
