The Sharpoint Plus Polysyn 5-0 Undyed Suture is a synthetic, absorbable suture designed for precise wound closure with minimal tissue reaction. Manufactured from polyglycolic acid-based copolymer, it provides predictable absorption and optimal tensile strength retention during the critical healing phase. The undyed configuration makes it particularly suitable for procedures where minimal suture visibility is required.

Equipped with a DSM-19 Precision Reverse Cutting Needle, this suture is specifically engineered for applications requiring high precision and minimal tissue disruption. The reverse cutting design enhances penetration through tough or fibrous tissues while reducing the risk of tearing. The 3/8 circle, 19 mm needle ensures excellent maneuverability, making it well-suited for delicate surgical procedures requiring fine suturing techniques.

The Polysyn 5-0 suture retains 50% of its tensile strength at two weeks and 20% at three weeks, offering adequate support during the early healing phase. Complete mass absorption occurs within 50 to 90 days, eliminating the need for removal while promoting proper tissue regeneration.
