Description
The SET ADMINISTRATION CARESITE is a sterile, latex-free IV pump set designed for controlled infusion of intravenous solutions. The set features 120-inch DEHP tubing with a 22 mL priming volume and a 15 gtt/mL drip rate, providing precise fluid delivery compatible with B. Braun Infusomat Space pumps. The universal spike ensures secure access to standard IV solution containers, while the spin-lock® connector allows stable connection to the pump system.
Flow control is provided via roller and slide clamps, allowing adjustment of infusion rates without a built-in flow regulator. The set includes two injection ports with back check valves to prevent fluid backflow and contamination. Additional distal Y-site back check valves further support secure secondary medication administration, maintaining sterility throughout the infusion process.
The CARESITE set incorporates pressure-limited check valves to reduce risk of occlusion and support consistent fluid flow. The set does not include a filter, making it suitable for standard solution administration without particulate removal. All components are supplied sterile in a disposable configuration, eliminating the need for cleaning or reprocessing.
