Quill Barbed Suture PDO 2-0 Violet is a synthetic absorbable suture designed for secure and efficient wound closure. The suture features a barbed design that eliminates the need for knot tying, reducing procedure time and improving surgical efficiency. The sterile strand measures 14X14 cm and is equipped with a PS-2 Precision Reverse Cutting needle, which is 19 mm in length and has a 3/8 circle curvature.

The suture is composed of polydioxanone (PDO), a monofilament synthetic material known for its prolonged tensile strength retention and gradual absorption. The helically arranged barbs along the suture distribute tension evenly across the wound, minimizing tissue stress and enhancing closure stability. This mechanism eliminates the need for interrupted sutures, streamlining the approximation process.
