It is intended for non-prescription home use, with self-collected nasal swab specimens from individuals aged 14 years and older, or adult-collected specimens from individuals aged 2 years or older.
The test must be performed twice, with a minimum 24-hour gap and a maximum of 36 hours between tests, to provide an accurate result. Positive results indicate the presence of viral proteins, but clinical correlation is necessary to confirm the infection status, as bacterial infections or co-infections with other viruses may still be present.
