Description
Ondansetron 4 mg Single-Dose Vial (SDV) is a selective serotonin 5-HT3 receptor antagonist used for the prevention and treatment of nausea and vomiting. It blocks serotonin receptors in the chemoreceptor trigger zone and the gastrointestinal tract, preventing emesis caused by chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and postoperative conditions.
Each 2 mL vial contains 4 mg of ondansetron in a sterile, preservative-free solution for intravenous (IV) or intramuscular (IM) administration. The single-dose format minimizes contamination risks and ensures accurate dosing. The formulation is free from latex and natural rubber, reducing the risk of allergic reactions in sensitive patients.
