The BD Insyte Autoguard Shielded IV Catheter, 18G x 1.16" is engineered for safe, efficient, and reliable peripheral intravenous access. The catheter features an Autoguard™ needle shielding device with a push-button activation system. Upon activation, the needle instantly retracts, significantly lowering the risk of accidental needle-stick injuries for healthcare providers. The notched stainless steel needle facilitates smooth vessel entry and reduces insertion force, enhancing patient comfort and improving overall success rates of catheter placement.

Equipped with a green straight hub, the device provides clear gauge identification and compatibility with standard infusion systems.
