Wavicide® 2.65% Glutaraldehyde 1 Gal is a high-level disinfectant and sterilant formulated for endoscopes, stainless steel surgical instruments, and other critical medical devices. The solution is ready-to-use (RTU) and requires no activator, eliminating mixing errors and streamlining the disinfection process. Its neutral pH of approximately 6.3 ensures stability and minimizes corrosive effects on instruments.
The active ingredient, 2.65% glutaraldehyde, delivers potent antimicrobial activity. Using EPA-approved quantitative methods, Wavicide®-01 achieves complete inactivation of Mycobacterium tuberculosis within 45 minutes at room temperature. This performance demonstrates reliability in critical disinfection tasks and compliance with established high-level disinfection standards.
The product does not contain ortho-phenyl phenol, a suspected carcinogen, enhancing its safety profile for healthcare personnel.
