QuikClot® 4x4 Hemostatic Wound Dressing provides rapid bleeding control through a proprietary kaolin-impregnated nonwoven material. The kaolin acts as an inorganic mineral that activates factor XII, accelerating the body’s natural clotting cascade. This mechanism allows effective management of a variety of bleeding scenarios, reducing the time required for hemostasis in both emergency and intensive care settings.

The dressing is designed for a wide spectrum of hemostatic applications, including anterior nose bleeds (epistaxis), lacerations, bleeding AV fistula sites, fingertip avulsions, varicose vein bleeding, and postoperative wound dehiscence. Its nonwoven material conforms to body contours, maintaining contact with irregular wound surfaces to optimize clot formation. The 4x4 inch size provides coverage suitable for small to moderate wounds while remaining easy to apply and secure.
