Heat and Moisture Exchanger with Filter (HMEF) with sample port is a respiratory accessory designed to provide humidification, filtration, and airway protection during mechanical ventilation and anesthesia support. It is used to conserve patient humidity and heat while simultaneously filtering inspired and expired gases, reducing contamination risk in respiratory circuits. The device is suitable for adult, pediatric, and neonatal applications.

The unit incorporates an electrostatic filter system with extremely high bacterial and viral filtration efficiency, reaching 99.999% for both BFE and VFE. This ensures effective reduction of airborne pathogens and minimizes cross-contamination between patient and equipment. The integrated structure maintains airflow stability while supporting clinical respiratory requirements.

Moisture exchange performance is optimized to deliver approximately 33.6 mg H2O/L at a tidal volume of 500 mL. The device supports a wide volume range from 120 to 1500 mL, making it adaptable for different patient populations. With a low resistance of 2.1 cm H2O at 30 LPM, it maintains efficient ventilation dynamics while reducing patient breathing effort.
