Description

The Mallinckrodt Hi-Lo® Cuffed Endotracheal Tube, ID 6.0 mm is engineered to ensure airway security, patient safety, and effective ventilation during surgical, emergency, or intensive care procedures. Its transparent construction allows clear visualization, while the curved design facilitates proper anatomical placement for both oral and nasal intubations. The tube is sterile and designed for single-use applications in adult patients.

Equipped with a pilot balloon and a mechanical self-sealing valve, the tube allows accurate monitoring and maintenance of cuff inflation. The large cuff diameter, measuring 1.5 times the average trachea size, ensures an effective low-pressure seal that adjusts to tracheal expansion and contraction, minimizing the risk of leakage.

The Hi-Lo® technology enhances aspiration protection by providing a high-volume, low-pressure, long-length cuff system. Its large resting volume reduces localized pressure, distributing it evenly along the tracheal wall, thereby decreasing complications such as tissue necrosis or ulceration.
