Copaxone® (Glatiramer Acetate) 40 mg/ml Injection is used in the treatment of relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS), including relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS). The medication helps reduce the frequency of relapses by modifying the immune system's response. It is administered through subcutaneous injection, typically once a week, via the prefilled syringe provided in the carton.

The formulation contains glatiramer acetate as the active ingredient, a synthetic polymer that mimics the structure of myelin basic protein. This action helps in regulating the immune system’s response, preventing the immune system from attacking the protective sheath around nerve fibers, thus reducing inflammation and damage in MS patients.

The prefilled syringes are sterile and ready for injection, offering convenience and ensuring accuracy in dosing. The single-dose syringes are individually sealed and come in a carton that contains 12 syringes. Each syringe is labeled with clear dosage information to minimize dosing errors.
